What is ECB?

The European Central Bank's September monetary policy meeting minutes revealed that some members of the ECB Governing Council emphasized greater cuts in asset purchases. There were remarkable details in the minutes of the European Central Bank (ECB) Governing Council's monetary policy meeting held in Frankfurt on 8-9 September. In the minutes containing the evaluations of the council members, it was revealed that the members continued to see the risks regarding the economy as balanced and did not consider the price increases in recent months as a development that would create a need for tightening in monetary policy. The minutes revealed that members assess that the rise in inflation will largely fade in the medium term and that the bank's overall monetary policy stance remains highly harmonious. In the minutes, it was stated that members discussed a larger cut in the ECB's asset purchases under the PEPP last month, and some members even argued that the markets are ready for the end of bank support such as asset purchases.
